The 27.5” Mavic E-Deemax S35 rear wheel was developed for the specific needs of E-MTBs. The wide rim with its full inner dimension of 35 mm is optimised for modern trail tyres from 2.6 to 3.2 inches. With this 27.5" plus format you can benefit from a low tyre pressure in your tyres to ride with more grip and more comfort on the trail.
In addition, mountain bikes with electric pedal assistance are usually heavier because they come with a drive unit and battery pack. Since the drive technologies of these modern "driving machines" are getting better and better, the components must also meet these special requirements.

These technologies not only reduce the weight, but, in the case of ISM rim machining, also optimise the strength of the rim material in strategic areas A special pinch flat rim design also takes into account the higher weight and increased drive power of the E-MTBs to minimise the risk of punctures and sidecuts by providing more contact surface to the tyre.
This is also where Mavic's UST tubeless technology comes into play, which not only reduces the risk of punctures in the tubeless construction and the weight, but also ensures a better grip.

The modern Infinity hub platform also optimises stiffness and power transmission while improving the tension of the straightpull flat spokes, while the robust Instant Drive 360 freewheel with 9° engagement angle ensures speedy propulsion and high durability. In addition, the E-Deemax S30 rear wheel shines with a premium look that stands out from the crowd: The matt lacquered hub, the high-quality SUP-welded and thus almost invisible rim joint, as well as the deep black knife spokes make a real impression. Finally, Mavic Black Shield technology gives the rim a subtle matt finish that increases resistance to scratches and abrasion.

Top technologies:
• PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) A special rim design with a wide projecting rim flange for more contact surface with the tyre. This minimises the risk of tyre failure in the event of punctures or side contact. This is particularly advantageous for E-MTBs due to the higher weight and increased drive power.
• ISM (Inter Spoke Milling): A manufacturing process developed by Mavic in which rim material is reduced at strategically selected points between the spoke holes to create a light and strong rim without compromising on strength.
• UST tubeless technology: The Mavic standard for tubeless tyres not only improves traction, comfort and rolling resistance, but also reduces the risk of tyre defects.
• SUP (Soudé Usiné Process): Particularly stable, arc-welded rim joint where the weld of the rim joint is perfectly flat milled for a seamless, smooth transition to achieve balanced rotation without brake vibrations.
• Fore tapeless tubeless technology: With Mavic Fore Technology, the spokes are connected directly to the lower rim bridge with a special screw nipple in an incorporated threaded receptacle to increase the resistance of the rim. The closed rim bed remains intact as part of the tubeless system. This makes it easy to change spokes and saves the extra weight of the rim tape.
• Black Shield Treatment: A special rim sealant on Mavic's MTB wheels with a double coating in a matt finish increases resistance to stone chips and scratches.
• QRM Auto (Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto): Smooth-running, double-sealed and maintenance-free industrial bearings with high dimensional accuracy and self-adjusting bearing preload.
